I feel very hounored to start my blog with this post. I think, it was on Wednesday that I found out about the workshop. And more importantly, the workshop is conducted by my favorite and the most talented photographer 'Chris Burkard' and 'Ben Weiland', his Cinematographer.
The Workshop was conducted at Red Studios Hollywood, on Saturday. I was so excited to meet Mr. Chris. and Mr. Ben. The workshop is about their experience in filming the epic 'Under An Arctic Sky'. These people are so passionate in their work. It was truly an inspirational session.
About their tour:
They spent sleepless nights, coldest weather, shortest daylights and experienced the worst storm ever. It was their passion which drove them to shoot a film like this. Imagine 6 surfers, surfing in cold waters of Iceland at 10 degree Fahrenheit. I mean who does that. I cannot describe more about the film as the screening is in progress at different locations. But check out the trailer here.. http://www.underanarcticsky.com/.
My experience:
In the workshop we had a Q & A session. It was so informative. Mr. Chris, himself is a public speaker and great motivator. I asked some questions on what gear to use and how to be like him one day. He answered all our questions patiently, shared his valuable thoughts. I took some pictures with them and bought a small book which speaks about their experience and pictures of their tour.
In summary, this workshop raised the bar of my interest and passion towards photography.
